Press release | China is the most populous country as well as the second largest market in the world and these titles come with hard-hitting consequences. China’s three largest cities – Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai top the world rankings for the longest home-work-home commute with people spending on average 1.5 hours a day in the traffic gridlock which results in tremendous waste of lifetime and costs trillions of dollars in economic losses.
At Kitinmoto we aim to cut the commute time in half and make a ride to work a truly thrilling experience.
We daydream about an alternative past where the electric powertrain won over gasoline-powered one in the early 20th century. What would the road racer of alternative 70’s look like? How would our perception of personal transport be different if we pursued renewables from the beginning? What if we could rewind the time and start all over again? We’ve found a way to produce an electric motorcycle which is ahead of its time for a fraction of price unseen before.
A motorcycle reimagined
Kitinmoto UC1 is a modular 150cc-equivalent electric motorcycle with own on-demand battery sharing eco-system. Patent-pending battery pack can be swapped in seconds, with up to 3 batteries installed at once. Utilizing high density 21700 Li-Ion cells, a single pack delivers 1kWh of energy and about 50km of city range with a top speed of 120km/h.
A.I. generated parts are more rigid and up to 40% lighter than human-designed and embody a signature look and feel of Kitinmoto electric motorcycles. A fully interchangeable bodywork brings personalization on whole another level.
Our first model UC1 features hardware expansion slots which allows for added functionality from the range of smart plug and play accessories. Every bike is an IoT device on wheels ready for communication with autonomous cars and full integration into smart cities.
Keep an eye for the crowdfunding campaign in spring 2019.
