Source: press release Etergo | More than 4.400 investors joined the latest crowdfunding campaign which Etergo (The Netherlands) just closed. Using its own self made platform, the company was able to attract a record number of investors when compared to numbers seen on leading crowdfunding sites like Seedrs.

With these results, Etergo will have enough funding to put its first product, AppScooter, into production in early 2020. Proud of its 100% Dutch made roots, AppScooter will be launched first in the Netherlands followed by a wider EU rollout over the course of the next year. Although Europe will be Etergo’s first focus market, the Asian market can also offer major opportunities for growth. According to CEO Bart Jacobsz Rosier, this is definitely on the long term roadmap:

“Our goal is to reach 60,000 units per year in Europe within 3-5 years and then take over Asia with up to 1 million units per year within 5-7 years. We’re already in conversation with potential Asian partners for our secondary facility in Asia and speeding up our Asian roll-out.”

About Etergo

Etergo produces lightweight electric vehicles that are better in every way. Only a fraction of people worldwide can afford an electric car. To truly speed up the transition toward renewable energy, we need electric two-wheelers. Designed in Amsterdam to be the safest scooter in the world, Etergo is reinventing personal smart mobility and transport, starting with our first product, AppScooter®. We didn’t just redesign the scooter; we redesigned the entire value proposition.

From the way AppScooter is manufactured and engineered, to the way it’s sold, delivered and serviced. At Etergo, everything we do has one singular purpose: to make personal smart transport as effortless, efficient and fun as humanly possible. The AppScooter pre-production series was tested and road-legal certified in summer of 2018. With millions of petrol scooters that need to be replaced soon, our timing couldn’t be better.
