Source: Official press release May 2020 – “AKO Trike” is a startup company from Lithuania developing a unique three-wheeled vehicle – trike. Today the team is working on their second prototype already. The vehicle itself has a unique feature set – it can lean into curves, mimicking motorcycles as well as simply be steered at lower speeds. Two seated, futuristic-looking. Equipped with a powerful electric motor the vehicle is estimated to reach over 300 km in one charge. The AKO Trike is an extremely unique piece of hardware with that star-wars-ish look and feature set like no other.

“We strive to combine the high-end engineering and extraordinary design featuring automotive sports solutions to build a true vehicle that brings back the fun to riding.” – AKO Trike Team. With the total weight of less than 450 kg, the vehicle is no easy toy. Built for the crazy ones, the futurists, the eco-enthusiasts, and is probably a perfect second family vehicle.

The unique body leaning system (patented!) is developed on pure mechanics, meaning that the driver will have the complete control and feel of the vehicle, bringing a breathtaking riding experience as a bonus. With custom aluminum & carbon parts, the vehicle will definitely remind a true high-end spaceship.

The average number of passengers per vehicle today is less than 1.5, and it was not really much higher than that from the beginning of the automobile era. The AKO Trike features two seats and an additional space for luggage while at the same time keeping the physical footprint of the vehicle 2 times smaller than a regular car. “Sustainability is not about being electric only anymore, it is about building and designing something from within your heart, and in the meantime making sure that every core decision is aimed at a better future for the whole world” – says Jurgis Lečas, the CEO of the company.
